Mental Health growth
My inquiry question this week is based on the topic of the growth of mental health patients. To be specific my question is, why are there more mental illness patients today than ever before? I am interested in learning more about this topic because mental health awareness is growing and lots of people are getting treatment and I want to know why that is. Furthermore, I am curious to know why people are just now getting the help they needed when they could have a long time ago. I am also curious to know the beginning stages of many threatening disorders like depression and bipolar. Finally, I think that this is an important topic to research because, there is a lot of awareness for mental health, and it can be life-threatening if not treated properly.

In conclusion, people raising awareness for mental health is a clear example of a change in society. Now people have spoken up, and are getting help. That is why there has been an increase in mental illness patients. For example, people you weren’t getting help are now getting help. On the other, there are still people who aren’t getting help. According to the first source, “ The United States since the early 1990s show that almost half of the adult American at some time in their life had had a psychiatric disorder.” Looking back a today, I can say that I have learned a lot about mental illness and now I am going to take more seriously than I have before. In conclusion, the growth of mental illness patients has increased, making the matter that anyone could be affected, stand out.
